Nice to meet you!
I am Nat, a 2D concept artist and illustrator based in Vancouver.
Since you are here, let me tell you a bit about myself and my journey so far 👩🏻🎨. I fell in love with drawing when I was a little girl. I inherited this skill after my mum, who also loved drawing and painting. I would always spend my time doodling on every piece of paper. Sometimes sketching characters from my favourite European, Disney or Studio Ghibli animations, in other cases creating my own characters, creatures and short stories.
I like working with different mediums. When drawing on paper my prefered tools are ink, pencils and Copic markers. When it comes to digital drawing and animation I like to work in Procreate, Photoshop, Adobe Animate and Toon Boom Harmony.
My favourite subjects are characters, sequential drawings and short stories. However, I also enjoy creating props and backgrounds.
I had the opportunity to exhibit my work in Rustique Cafe in London UK. I've also participated as an artist in several European events and comic cons, including London Film and Comic Con, Heroes Comic Con Madrid and Heroes Comic Con Valencia.
I've also been involved in a few projects with a non-profit organization "The Hackney Literacy Pirates", who help children in improving their writing and reading skills. I have created several character designs and illustrations based on scripts and poems written by students for their final projects.
To keep myself up to date with techniques and trends I am always on the lookout for new tutorials, courses and industry events. I have twice attended the THU Trojan Horse was a Unicorn conference in Portugal and Malta, and have been to Industry Workshops in London, UK a number of times.
