Pucio
TV Series · 2D Character & Prop Design

Pucio is a 2D animated preschool television series based on the popular children’s book series by Marta Galewska-Kustra. The show is designed to support early childhood development, with a strong focus on language acquisition, communication, and everyday situations familiar to young audiences.

The series translates the original book illustrations into an animation-ready visual language, preserving their warmth and recognisability while adapting the designs to meet the technical and storytelling needs of a TV production.
My Role
I work as a 2D Character and Prop Designer on Pucio, contributing to the ongoing series. My role involves adapting existing book characters into production-ready animation designs, as well as designing supporting characters and props used throughout the show.

Character Design Focus
My work on Pucio focuses on:
-
Preserving the identity and charm of the original book characters
-
Creating clear, readable designs suitable for animation
-
Ensuring consistency across characters and episodes
-
Supporting expressive yet simple performance for a preschool audience
Characters are developed with animation in mind from the outset, balancing faithful adaptation with practical production needs such as clean shapes, clear proportions, and strong silhouettes.

Production Context
Working on an ongoing preschool TV series requires close attention to consistency, clarity, and usability across episodes. The project combines adaptation work with original design problem-solving, strengthening my experience in IP-based series production and animation-focused character and prop design.
